Homage
Homage is a 100 seat grand café, bar and patisserie launched in 2004.
After writing five editions of a Café Guide to Europe, Roy Ackerman recognised a need for a similar offering in London the idea of a Grand Café in the Capital was born. Roy teamed up with The Waldorf Hilton to create Homage, a Grand Salon, Bar and Patisserie which is designed to indeed pay homage to the grand cafes of Europe.
Much like the grand cafes of Europe, Homage provides an opportunity for people to eat, drink and socialise from breakfast right through to post theatre suppers in an environment that is laid back and glamorous.
Many of these famous Cafes have formed their own association with the Arts and at Homage something similar has been created with the various artists whose work is currently on display in the Grand Salon. While in the corridors there are photographs of some of the Grand Cafes taken from Roy Ackerman’s recent Café Guide to Europe.
The Grand Salon has a permanent display of work by Sir Peter Blake, Martin Fuller, Bruce McLean, and John Hoyland amongst others, and also features a quarterly exhibition from top artists and photographers. Homage caters for some 350 covers a day in the Grand Salon, Bar and Patisserie.
